Hello everyone! Hope you are all fine. Here’s just remembering our trips to Singapore. Him Indoors’ brother and his family live there so we often visit, usually combining it with our trip to the Philippines when I visit my mother. Last time we visited, we enjoyed the Gardens by the Bay, which is a nature park spanning 101 hectares of reclaimed land in central Singapore, adjacent to the Marina Reservoir. The park consists of three waterfront gardens: Bay South Garden, Bay East Garden and Bay Central Garden.

We also went to see the Botanical Garden.

Went to the park and watched nephews play hockey.

Had some pizza and Indian curries.

Went to Chinatown and Little India.

  1. Nice to see one of your other kids of posts! Had no idea you did Jo’s Walks:)
Singapore is a place that I heard of as a little one when we were living in Indonesia. For an Asian country it is so modern (and Western looking) This garden has such a spacious feeling. No doubt because all the glass. Jikes, I wouldn’t want to be window washer here:) So, if you’re from Singapore I thought you were from the Philippines – am getting confused here), how did you end up in Germany?

    1. thanks, Jesh 🙂 I’m originally from the Philippines, born and bred there. I left the country when I was 23 years old and have lived in different parts of the world (Switzerland, France, USA). Then I met Him Indoors, who’s from the UK and we got married and lived in the UK. We ended up in Germany because of his job and have been living here in Munich for the last 27 years. Singapore is where his brother and family live and from time to time, we visit. Have a great week ❤

      1. Wow, your story sounds like mine:):) So, hope you feel at home in Germany (of course there are always times, like certain days/feasts that you’ll miss the Philippines:)) Thank you for explaining! Oh, come to think of it, you probably speak German then…
