A faint rainbow up the sky
Sky from light blue to greyish blue
Blue I feel when you’re not with me
Me and you, I say with a plea
Plea that we will endure this isolation
Isolation from the rest of the world
World in this flat horizon, not one soul
Soul, heart and spirit, they are one
One tower, some houses by the cliff
Cliff high, I cover my head with a kerchief
Kerchief over my head tied under my chin
Chin moves when I see you and grin
Grin we will and make the most of it
It will only get better, let’s hope
Hope for a better and brighter future
Future beckons, now is the time to deliver
Deliver us from the nightmares of ennui
Ennui, perhaps not when I’m with thee
Thee or thou, hopefully love will last
Last longer and everything is a blast
I am here, you are there
Miles apart, half of the world
We have to cross the seas and lands
We have to endure the storms coming
You are there, so far away, unreachable
I say this, you say that, misunderstanding
Hard to communicate, different opinions
Upsetting one another even not intentionally
Causing pain in the heart and soul, shattering
Over the mountains, through seven seas
Enduring the pain, winter, spring, autumn
Summer comes, is there a flicker of hope?
Can we overcome the hurdles, the storm?
I don’t know, I really don’t know
If it’s goodbye
Then let’s do it right
I have no regrets
Thanks for being part of my life
You made me happy, you made me sad
You made me care, you made me cry
Listen, can you hear that?
It’s my heart, smashing into pieces
I know it will take some time
But one day, it will be alright
For now, let us part as friends
And leave some beautiful memories
Look after yourself
One day we’ll meet again….

Her hands were shaking. Her heart was racing. Enough! She had enough! He would no longer hurt her! She could feel the cold metal in her hand slowly adjust to her body’s temperature. She had her back in the corner of their bathroom, the door locked and outside of it footsteps approaching.
That part of her life was over. He could no longer hurt her. She was able to get away. Or was it? How come she still feels that he was still there in the shadows, lurking around? That he was waiting for the right moment to attack her again, to make her life miserable and to take away all the respect she feels for herself.
That incident in the bathroom when he was approaching her was always on her mind. She had to do it. There was no other way for him to stop. She could no longer endure the pain. It had been going on since they got married. She thought she found her knight, instead she found her nightmare. She had to fire that gun, the only thing that separated her from him. Enough was enough!

To endure means many different things and situations. You showed many of them,
