Rome 054

“Are you still with me?” We were in front of the Colosseum.
“This is amazing!” I said, as we went up the second and third tiers of the Roman amphitheatre and we imagined how they were in those days, with gory gladiators fighting as entertainment.
Then we explored the main relics that were clustered throughout the Roman Forum.
Carried on walking to Capitoline Hill.
Strolled around Piazza del Campidoglio, a square designed by Michelangelo.
Continued into Rome’s historical centre.
Threw a coin in the impressive Trevi Fountain for luck, and then posed for photos in front of Rome Pantheon….but my poor old feet…

Walking tour in Rome
Visited the Vatican
Didn’t see the Pope

  1. Oh i remember it so well, i traversed the ruins for 1 day alone! My base is the FAO return there for lunch and back again to the ruins. The rest of the days i had someone who brought me to places which needs riding. Sometimes, touring places alone has advantages too! I just brought a book about Rome as guide.

I love your pic of the dome.
