Life of a seaman

“One week from now and I’ll be home again,” mused Juan as he finished his work in the engine. It has been 6 months when he was last home. He’d go home for a month then he goes back to his ship. That has been his life since he was 20 and has seen his promotion as the years went by. Now, he could say that he’s reached the top. But then, he also made a lot of sacrifices for his family, he misses them and they miss him. The children are growing without his physical presence. They see each other twice a year.
