Sail – Daily Prompt

Sailing along the river
Shiver, you lonely lover!
When the feeling overflows
I met the Queen, she said hello
Like a songbird with pointed wings
The wind echoes my soul’s soft ring
White as the glimmer of a retreating sail
Terry Waite’s free, yet I can’t make bail
Some enthralled land we don’t know where
We questioned out loud: “what might live in there?”
And each place we see an experience to share
Or so it may seem, when they are unaware
We came back as happy as can be
Go forth, multiple and plunder thee

Photo Challenge #172 – Just us

– Mrs. White

On the grey horizon we stand
In front of the ocean
Us two
We weathered the storm hand in hand
Rest of the world we shun
So blue

The different experience we had
All the challenges, too
All them
Faithful and loyal like comrade
And we stick like glue
Just us*
