Weekend Writing Prompt #24 – Shadows

Spring with our shadows
Ladylee and Him Indoors
Shadows in winter

Together we grow
In mountains, seas and moors
Shadows in summer

Things we care to know
Have been through a lot of tours
Shadows in autumn

Sunshine, rain and wind
Together making memoir
Shadows in spring

We met in the lab
Have been through oceans and shores
Shadows in winter

With health we’re aglow
I am his and he is mine
Shadows in summer

  1. Hey Ladyleemanila, Namaste 🙂

I am genuinely touched by the depth of your love for each other. This poem a celebration of unity it is a treasure to tuck away as a keep-sake.

You would have noticed that in all the photographs your shadows are never separated, there is always some point of contact. The last photograph I find the most expressive…the juxtaposition of two small shadows standing stoic and firm amidst an expanse of wilderness: is this not the very essence of Love, to have faith, confidence and absolute trust in another to stand and face the world shoulder to shoulder, heart to heart, always and forever together in union?

Thank you for stirring the pool of emotion, for plucking the harp strings with a delicate touch.
    God Bless. Namaste 🙂
