To walk in all things contrary
Do things not everyone agrees
Act against the natural course
As long as we have faith and hope
Help is at hand, we can all cope
A source of energy not force
Great source, we can be creative
Those who wronged us, we can forgive
If we fall, we can rise again
Learn the lesson, be stronger
Inside of us, we have armour
Living a life of peaceful Zen
Count to ten before we explode
In this mode, we can say amen*

This line sums it up beautifully and succinctly:
A source of energy not force
It took me many years to learn to do what your last two lines recommend. Now I feel more at ease with myself and the world.

I love your perspective and the fact you addressed forgiveness as part of your thoughts. Well done.

You start in the spirit of the quotes, and then, take it to an entirely different ‘Zen’ level. It brings many other layers into the picture – the nee to maintain an equilibrium, while swimming against the stream. Beautiful!
Thanks for joing in, and being the first!
