A month with Yeats: Day Nine

The Yeats quote today is taken from ‘The Rose of the World’.

‘Troy passed away in one high funeral gleam,
And Usna’s children died.’ W.B. Yeats

Our wandering soul stood still
Mournful of some unfulfilled dream
Ready to execute such scream
On this gloomy night give us chill
Was it just a dream?

Memories of loved ones now gone
Hidden in our hearts great sorrow
The past with them long time ago
All through the day until dawn
As we grow, to and fro
