A Month with Yeats: Day Twenty-Three

Today’s quote is from ‘He Wishes His Beloved Were Dead’.

‘…your hair was bound and wound
About the stars and moon and sun:’—W.B. Yeats

night
with you
as we grew
tender embrace
challenges we’ve gone through
forgive me when I’ve hurt your grace
the sky with the stars and moon in their place
with you as my knight always relieving our plight
some of our history we can retrace
bad memories we can erase
to gather what is due
without a race
sky’s blue
so true
light*
