THIS WEEK’S WORDS come from “Wanting it Darker” by Ben Ladouceur: coffee, mountain, painting, longer, soften, sad, numb, still, even, buildings, hand, each
The cold wind numbs her
Walking through the buildings
Each step seems longer
They used to walk here
Hand in hand
The rest of the world
Are not part of them
Just the two of them
That was then
When she was loved
And he was loved
Sad but life goes on
Trust was broken
Over and over
Even when they climbed the mountain
And looked at the paintings
Still they had to face the truth
They were not meant to be
Best to part ways
The memories stay
Some happy and some sad
No regrets, time to move on

I was all ready for another love story and was surprised by the turn of events — which is always a good sign of a good writer, to give an unexpected twist and make the reader {me!} want to read more! Thank you again for joining us this week π
