100 Word Wednesday: Week 59 – Cycling here and there

THIS WEEK’S WORDS come from “I loved you first: but afterwards your love” by Christina Rossetti: love, might, know, length, long, measures, rich, makes, wax, wrong, strength, one

I’ll go this length as a measure
Of how rich my love is and its strength
Don’t get me wrong, I know it takes two to tango
Through thick and thin, we’re together

How long have we known each other?
We’ve been together for more than thirty
Creating and sharing memories of our lives
As one, making us stronger

Cycling here and there, up and down
Through the narrow streets, through the forest
To the beer garden and to parks in the summer
And even to the shops downtown

I don’t cycle as fast as you
You’re always there, waiting*
