Due to strong current, no swimming
With some untoward beast of rapid waves
Neurochemical and negative materials
Off screen, not mellow not spring

There’s no amaryllis in sight
There is nothing there for an escapist
Wish it was different from what is actual
Then I could enjoy it despite

A sequence of high and low tides
Some surfers rebel and surf anyway
For them, no such thing as difficult nor some rules
What their adrenaline provides
