This is a place which I call my home
Where I ever learn my lessons
Some ideas flitted through my mind
In the spirit of God and Rome

Sometimes this looks like a honeycomb
A cycle of confusions
The essence of all drama combined
Translated peace, the word shalom

The music is like a palindrome
Things I do seasons to seasons
A place where I could just rewind
In spiral pattern as I roam

This is a place which I call my home
Where I ever learn my lessons
Some ideas flitted through my mind
In the spirit of God and Rome*

  1. I think one’s home is a cycle of confusion being both a safe haven at times and a place where you have to get out of at others. There is nothing quite like knowing a place so well that when leaving it for good , it then feels as though you are leaving part of yourself there too!

  2. As a teacher, I read a lot into this, which I like! Home is a place of lessons – and the “cycle of confusions” is such a great image. And music like a palindrome – forward and backward – cycling. Nicely done!
