Reena’s Exploration Challenge #Week 63 – She’s made of broken promises

This girl looks like a sad statue
Left to lie in an evil brew
Partial reveries so awe less
She’s made of broken promises

Got no rights to facts in the hood
March alone with torch as she should
Assurance he gave was bareness
She’s made of broken promises

No stability in life
For they always end in strife
And the effect is adverseness
She’s made of broken promises*

* A Kyrielle

For what made him do what he did?
All her heart and soul was given to him
And she has given everything up just for him
Has he reached the point of misdid?

Her honour and trust was broken
Not to mention the heart that was bleeding
She was promised the moon but wasn’t delivered
What he did cannot be undone

And was it abuse of power?
Was the temptation great or was it greed?
He wanted the whole hand instead of a finger
Or was he such a good actor?

And was he worth all the heartache?
It was quite tough but she has to move on
It was his lost, forgetting him is the best way
It wasn’t too late for her sake**

They’ve almost made it. But not really. Such a shame. If only she could turned back the clock and stayed the way they were, she would. She almost did it – turned back the clock. But it was pointless. What was done was done, what was said was said, what was broken remained broken. Everything happened for a reason. The thing was, they’ve almost done it, almost surpassed the hurdles and challenges that came their way, almost ignored the pain that was hurting, almost crossed the finish line at the end. Oh well, it wasn’t meant to be…

he promised not to leave
but one day he was all gone
and left her crying***
