Venom poured from his eyes, poisoned tears
Sitting beside the grave with the goat
Without a clue his love disappears
It’s toxic and without antidote
Sitting beside the grave with the goat
Under the shade of an old oak tree
It’s toxic and without antidote
She left him even with all his plea
Under the shade of an old oak tree
Where they had carved their initials
She left him even with all his plea
In sorrow with all the epistles
Where they had carved their initials
Without a clue his love disappears
In sorrow with all the epistles
Venom poured from his eyes, poisoned tears*

What a complex verse form! I like the way the repeating lines bring you back to the scene, and the new lines flesh it out some more. A haunting sorrowful piece.

She is gone and he is still angry. Must be a very strong bond. Nice poem.

What an interesting format. I know nothing about poetry, what form is this? Thanks for opening my eyes.

I learn something about poetry every time you post. This was particularly effective, I thought.
