As the crevices cracked further
And with every loud thud
Signs of the weekend go farther
Swim for there might be flood
Noise from children as they scoot
Swinging and laughter on their route
Noise from children
Noise from children
And with a noose on their pursuit
As the crevices cracked further
Learning love from the deaf
He’s alright and his name’s Arthur
Quite good friend with our chef
We need the rain for our garden
For our mistakes we are pardon
We need the rain
We need the rain
For the birds like the house martin
As the crevices cracked further
And love is in the air
So cosy with such wet weather
A blanket we both share
By the fireplace to keep us warm
Let us hope it’s not a storm
By the fireplace
By the fireplace
Nor would it be a thunderstorm*
