She’s sitting cross-legged
With a carefree spirit
She summoned him over
In the street where they live
Covered as in clover

She’s sitting cross-legged
The middle of the road
And people come and go
Avoiding her stare
She’s waiting for her beau

She’s sitting cross-legged
On that old comfy chair
Not a care in the world
As the world passes by
Then she’s all furled and curled

She’s sitting cross-legged
Asking him to come by
Doesn’t know the reason
Just going with the flow
Two of then can squeeze in*

  1. Maybe I have my mind too much on Greek myths today, but this had such a magical quality to it, like she was some demigoddess or spirit beckoning her love to come to her, not caring if anyone saw, not caring how long it takes, knowing he will eventually join her. It’s destined to be. ❤
