OctPoWriMo Day 3 – Womb

uterus

It wasn’t easy for me
Took us seven years before the son came
Kale, exercise, lots of waiting until we are three
Every time I think of it, I was in pain and no one to blame
Years of waiting and patience is the key
So when he came, we’re ecstatic all the same*

  1. I love coming here after posting mine. I dig your poems because they are, in many ways, the polar opposite of mine – in execution and more often than not in content too. I loved this. So happy for you that he came!

  2. I wasn’t supposed to be able to have children. After six years of marriage, this seemed to be quite true. Then I was nauseous for a month straight–surprise!
Funny how things work out. Glad they worked out for you.
