OctPoWriMo Day 14 – They scattered like marbles among the leaves

4_122

Scattered like marbles among the leaves
Colliding like shy cats into the light
Free styling all looming up in sheaves

Not following a pattern in that sight
Forging my finger to aim high and low
Tasting salt in my lips but I’m alright

With you by my side feeling all aglow
Knowing I am all yours and you are mine
Our treasure at the end of the rainbow

Together we sigh as we wine and dine
Drinking dry wine from the Mossel Valley
And not to mention Riesling from the Rhine

All sailors singing in the ship’s galley
Looking forward to their coming back home
Wives and children waiting for them gladly

Crossing the seven seas as they all roam
And as for me I’m waiting for my knight
As I paddle by the beach and the foam

Sea breeze and all the birds flying around
Spreading out some leaves on the ground
Scattered like marbles among the leaves
Free styling all looming up in sheaves*
