THIS WEEK’S WORDS come from “Sonnet XLIII” by Edna St. Vincent Millay: come, sang, summer, lovely, birds, vanished, tonight, tap, lads, lips, where, why
Listen to the birds sing up high
Lovely as the winter’s stream
Come to me tonight in my dreams
Vanished like a dream so it seems
As our lips touched we’re such a team
But I don’t know the where and why
Choices I made and as I sigh
And are all these things a daydream?
The music play some requiems
Water roars like one jetstream
The lads happy eating ice-cream
Tap their strength before they say bye
Appreciate the choices in life
Appreciate nature and wildlife*
