Quarantine ~ Pic and a Word Challenge #227

Quarantine is staying home
Home with Him Indoors
Indoors eating pizza
Pizza and clearing all drawers

When weather is nice, we can go out
Out but make sure practice social distancing
Distancing as in walking in the fields
Fields and cycling in unused runway

Staying in the garden
Garden with flowers and tortoises
Tortoises walking about
About time we stay calm*

* Loop Poetry is a poetry form created by Hellon. There are no restrictions on the number of stanzas nor on the syllable count for each line. In each stanza, the last word of the first line becomes the first word of line two, last word of line 2 becomes the first word of line 3, last word of line 3 becomes the first word of line 4. This is followed for each stanza. The rhyme scheme is abcb.

  1. What is a little fascinating to me about this pandemic is how full we manage to make our lives even in our social isolation.

That, and the picture of your pizza makes me nostalgic for the deep-dish pizzas my mother used to make for Saturday nights watching ABC’s Wide World of Sports.

So, memories of past times, sparking possibilities for new times, amid a momentary pause for exploring a transient new normal.

    Interesting times, indeed.
