When we went camping

We’ve just started going out when we camped
And as poor students we had no money
We borrowed a single tent from a friend
We thought we could fit in it but not so

Packed duvets, pillows, sleeping bags and food
And took the train from Mannheim to Munich
Pitched our tent near the zoo and what a view
Uncomfortable in the tent when it rained

It was fine during the day as we toured
Saw the city, museums, beer gardens
No air mattress, felt the stones in our backs
His feet was outside the tent, got bitten

Experience of our lifetime, this camping
Never camped again, still together though*
