THIS WEEK’S WORDS come from “Stolen Glances” by John Thornberg: peer, reflection, cruel, play, fair, payment, look, laced, silver, fades, stolen, until
No time to play and we are inside
We see our peers virtually
Wash hands, stay home and stay safe
Time for reflection internally
Lockdown, no traffic until it’s gone
Some say it’s cruel but fair
Stay safe, stay home and wash hands
Payment of nature for all we care
I’m sure there’s silver lining after
Look at it positively
Wash hands, stay home and stay safe
Keep busy, live lives meaningfully
Memories might fade before lockdown
This is it now, new normal
Stay safe, stay home and wash hands
Wear pyjamas, let’s be informal*
