#SoCS Aug. 1/2020 – more

THIS WEEK’S WORDS come from “ODD COVID DILEMMA” by Esther Cohen: friend, tonight, explain, longtime, dementia, incoherent, quit, advice, someone, give, harder

More than we could explain
Explain more and more incoherent
Incoherent than anything in this world
World full of virus and fearing

Noone knows how long it will last
Last time I saw a friend I couldn’t remember
Remember the times when we’re out all night?
Night when you came and all tender

We all know it’s a longtime process
Process that we should all cooperate
Cooperate and try not to quit
Quit tonight and it’s checkmate

Though harder, we have the new normal
Normal things we give and take
Take someone for a walk in the fresh air
Air outside good for headache*

* Loop Poetry is a poetry form created by Hellon. There are no restrictions on the number of stanzas nor on the syllable count for each line. In each stanza, the last word of the first line becomes the first word of line two, last word of line 2 becomes the first word of line 3, last word of line 3 becomes the first word of line 4. This is followed for each stanza. The rhyme scheme is abcb.
