Sunday Writing Prompt – 2nd August – Choosing your Context

A funny thing happened on the way
To the kitchen for my breakfast
To tell you the truth I dance and sway

See the knives over there like tempest
Next thing I know, I am bleeding
To the kitchen for my breakfast

Like a glue I stayed, blood is flowing
A name got called, I waited and rest
Next thing I know, I am bleeding

He came and helped and I am blessed
A man from space this twisted tale
A name got called, I waited and rest

Low humming, oh my, bread is stale
Am I awake or is it a dream?
A man from space this twisted tale

Shall I start breakfast or scream?
A funny thing happened on the way
Am I awake or is it a dream?
To tell you the truth I dance and sway*
