Thursday photo prompt: Tokens #writephoto

THIS WEEK’S WORDS come from “Apple Season” by Joyce Sutphen: kitchen, porch, cover, apple, knife, takes, turns, bucket, strips, crisp, cinnamon, live

Strips of token left by the porch

A feather, apple by and large

In the kitchen some cinnamon

Crisp leaves that seem to come alive

In the bucket also are some knives

How is it there in Michigan?

Do they take turns leaving tokens?

Some are covered by emotions

Strange world we have to listen in*
