Second Advent

Hello everyone! Hope you’re keeping yourselves safe. Yesterday we celebrated the second Advent Sunday, as well as St. Nicholas Day in Germany. We lit the second candle.

We walked to the city and saw the big Christmas tree outside the town hall.

We roasted duck in the evening. It was delicious!

Have a lovely week everyone!

I loved Munich when I went there for Octoberfest a few years ago – I feel a need to go at Christmas now! ☺️

Since 1977, trees have been donated to the city of Munich by communities in Bavaria and the Alpine countries. It is usually taken down around Epiphany on the 6th January and is often subsequently used elsewhere as a maypole.
And as for the dinner, it was our first try in roasting duck with five spice powder. Thank you, Trent 🙂

Roasted duck – oh Yum! The only time I had it was in a restaurant in Beijing with a friend and our son. Didn’t realize Germany also celebrated St Nicolas day:) Many thanks for sharing with All Seasons in which way you celebrate Advent. Have a beautiful week, Jesh
