Sunday Muse #159 – “Forest Traffic!”

“Forest Traffic!” Digital Art by Pulkit Kudiwal

Fragments of blue remain, like scattered puzzles
The air is at its freshest after it drizzles
Some badgers carried the food back in their lair
Leaves dance to unheard beat, soothing to the ears
And at the edge of the forest the sky grieves

At the edge of the forest the sky grieves
Leaves dance to unheard beat, soothing to the ears
Badgers go back to their lair without their fears
Birds above calling for the grubs like thieves

Frogs croaking and dancing to the beat of the leaves
While we pause to think of where we are with our tears
At the edge of the forest the sky grieves
Leaves dance to unheard beat, soothing to the ears

Tall mossy trees on both sides cutting wheat sheaves
Birds singing as they fly together with their peers
Forest inspiring us to explore all these years
Forest for our souls as the deer gives us cheers
At the edge of the forest the sky grieves
