#Tanka Tuesday #Poetry Challenge No. 228, #Poet’sChoice – Summer Fun

Have fun in the summer
Spirits run with the wind
The earth breathes just like us
Everyone relaxes
Lie in the sun a plus

Have fun in the summer
Forget the past, move on
Writing a memoir aids
Time heals and dulls the pain
And of course, the scar fades

Have fun in the summer
More time with families
Camping and holidays
Swimming, roller blading
And lots of other ways

Have fun in the summer
Tortoise in the garden
Apples and grapes growing
Cycling to beer garden
Kids on slides and swing*

thank you, Marsha 🙂 Henriksen is a self-published poet, and creator of the poetic meter Monchielle. The girl on the trike is Zoe, my niece. She’ll be 17 this month. ❤

Hi Lady Lee. I love your poem. That’s quite a form poem. Who is Jim T. Henriksen? Some of those form poems go back to the 1700s. I think I’ll try one on my next #WQWWC. Thanks for the lesson. 🙂 Is that your daughter on the trike? So cute! Your summer pictures are so much fun. 🙂 Thanks again for playing along with #WQWWC.
