For the visually challenged reader, the photo shows a small kitten looking inquisitively, from under a table.
THIS WEEK’S WORDS come from “Looking at the Moon After Rain” by Li Po: broken, blowing, bright, sea, fan, hum, moon, clouds, shining, rising, stretching, common
Havens and hideaways for fun
Under the table, by the broken chair
Stretching her paws, which is one of her common pose
Feels the fan blowing and she runs
Runs to the sea waiting for me
As the sun rising and shining all day
We always have fun, my kitty baby and me
Playing hide and seek by the quay
Quay and wharf on all river side
Some dark clouds and we have to run back home
And she’ll go back to her haven and hideaway
Likes the hum of the fridge and hide
Hide away she knows no heavens
The smallest box, the smelliest blanket
On the flower bed, beside the tortoises’ fence
For her hideaways and havens*
