he lived for the moment,  this moment was his

with accrue knowledge to keep learning

this neighbourhood with trees to sparkle and fizz

perpetuation of peace he’s yearning

secret passages loomed underground

confined to poverty there

attention in the square

different tales and moods in the background

recent gossips abound in the neighbourhood

extreme family drama in some

some foxes loitering in the fields and wood

some with pools and some live in the slum

and as he looks around he is glad

he’s eating three meals a day

happy to not go away

with his girlfriend in this homely pad

he appreciates living in the neighbourhood

all their quirks and eccentricities

and this is home from childhood to adulthood

to focus on life’s simplicities*
