THIS WEEK’S WORDS come from “Touch Cave” by Erika Meitner: bird, cradle, everyone, bed, train, streets, sweep, finger, change, wind, sit, wings
Paper stars and green fizz
The birds with their wings
On the street the kid whizz
Sweeping things with slings
The birds with their wings
Everyone changing trains
Glad that it’s spring
Green all over the plains
On the street the kid whizz
Sitting on his bed
Cradling bundle of his
Old toys and some bread*

Tuesday is my favourite day. After school, Mum is taking me to Irish dancing. I always wear something verdant and matches my eyes. With tenacity, I am learning the basic steps and having fun with my friends from the village. I need to have a rigid upper body and the footwork is so intricate. Practice, practice, practice, my teacher says. After the dance practice, we’re allowed to have some ice-cream and that’s the best part.

She felt being in a quagmire
Or being stuck in a dryer
So inexperienced and unripe
Out of her shell!
Hoping her longing she could quell
Hope to get out of labyrinth
She felt being in a quagmire
Out of her shell!
One day she could get out of here
One day she could be free again
One day she could be strong, too
Out of her shell!*

The garden of love is green without limit and yields many fruits other than sorrow or joy. Love is beyond either condition: without spring, without autumn, it is always fresh. Rumi

Lovely in green, Lady Lee. I loved the strong statement about green, written by Bob Brown. He should change his name! I adored the leaf quote! Your pictures are so gorgeous making a green quilt on the page, and your poem always draw a smile.
