THIS WEEK’S WORDS come from “Visitors” by Joan Naviyuk Kane: door, open, stands, together, young, small, shore, wick, bar, teach, weary, entry
The giant fell into the raging sea
On the shore of the sea and washed by waves
Weary of running after young Jack’s flee
Had he caught Jack he’d be one of the slaves
Nature taught him and now he’s on his graves
Small Jack opens his door of freedom
Stands by the bar, happy that he’s saves
Together with Mum they sing te deum
Opening the treasure box by the quay
Entering their home and having their tea*
