Time’s tough with storm and flooding
Stayed in bed with my chipped cup
Strange feeling and so cunning
The soft pitter patter of the rain, quieted my soul
Yellow roses on the table
Heart broken after the breakup
Move on as I’m young and able
The soft pitter patter of the rain, quieted my soul
Like a fool I let myself be
To my surprise came my new pup
As I drink my nice cup of tea
The soft pitter patter of the rain, quieted my soul

Tears hidden in the rain
Sound of violins
Broken and lots of pain
Protesting of sins
Sound of violins
With strings so brittle
Fret on little things
The bridge in the middle
Broken and lots of pain
Like a ruin show
Empty husk down the drain
There’s no afterglow
Protesting of sins
Keeping up with the hurt
Being struck with pins
Simple word that I blurt

Because of you my life is gold
Whispering wind I don’t feel cold
I miss the rain as the birds sing
Box of flowers you always bring me to behold
Because of you I hold the keys
To your heart I inherit ease
Ants and worms in the overgrown
Knees buckled and my stomach churn then there’s light breeze
Because of you I love flowers
Uncut from the garden of ours
Nature at its best for there’s hope
Together all hindrance we cope even all hours

rain in the summer
multi-coloured rainbow’s out
promising some hope
promising some hope
for a bright and charming day
rain gives us blessing

colourful brollies
glimmering in the rain
worship going on
worship going on
climbing up the temple
offering their thanks

Lady Lee, I loved this line. “Stayed in bed with my chipped cup” That conjured up warm cozy feelings for me in a way that a warm cup would not have. There’s something homey about a place where everything is not perfect. Beautiful post, LL.
