In the middle of the woods a palace we forget
Slithery felon banished because he made a threat
That once the princess got pinprick by the spinning wheel
Everyone in the palace sleep a chilling feel
Seasons went then the prince came on his jet
He was fascinated by the sleeping brunette
Distraught by the sight yet kissed her without regret
Princess woke up which was a big deal
In the middle of the woods
String of events and love between them begets
Lid of love opens with Anton and Annette
Made the difference with that kiss to seal
He asked her to marry her which was ideal
She said yes even though they’ve just met
In the middle of the woods*

- A Rondeau is a French form, 15 lines long, consisting of three stanzas: a quintet, a quatrain, and a sestet with a rhyme scheme as follows: aabba aabR aabbaR. Lines 9 and 15 are short – a refrain (R) consisting of a phrase taken from line one. The other lines are longer (but all of the same metrical length).

Love your story in this form except for lines 9 and 15. Yes, they are demanded but i don’t care for the snag when I get the “spinning wheel” rolling. Well done.
