“It’s not the destination, it’s the journey”

Taj Mahal, you’re so wonderful

So blessed that I’ve seen you

That day was so memorable

Sun was shining, sky’s blue

Symbol of India’s history

Jewel of Muslim art, glittery

A symbol

A symbol

Taj Mahal and its mystery

Taj Mahal, you’re so wonderful

First thing in the morning

Inside me woke up wondering

And the sun was shining

Love story of a lifetime

I could look at you anytime

Love story

Love story

Dreamy and all its paradigm

Taj Mahal, you’re so wonderful

Saw you when the sun set

Romantic with all the couples

One of India’s assets

Masterpiece of world’s heritage

Like being on the best stage

A masterpiece

A masterpiece

There’s nothing in comparison*

*The Trijan Refrain

The charm of Zambia

Zimbabwe, Gambia

Great mingling with birds and beasts

Elephants, giraffes

We had fun and laughs

Local dance, magical feasts

Chaos like clockwork

Shatter but with perk

Fairy juxtaposition

Memorable trip

Best not to skip

Camellias they all glisten

Great Victoria Falls

Amazing such calls

The sunrise and the sunset

Try exotic dish

Meat and also fish

Adventures not to forget**

Cambodia, a place we visited
Last year and we had fun
Took a tuktuk to the market

Swam in the Mekong River
Ate Amok, a Khmer cuisine
Cambodia, a place we visited

Drank rice wine and ate beef ceviche
Saw the ruins of Angkor Wat
Last year and we had fun

Rode through temples with bikes
Ventured on shopping spree
Took a tuktuk to the market***

THIS WEEK’S WORDS come from “April Moon” by Cathy Song: moon, will, rest, pandemic, pulling, pink, shining, hold, faces, first, last, grass

Sun’s shining when we’re in Japan

That was before the pandemic

Toured Tokyo, Kyoto and the rest

First time and it won’t be the last

Travelled by ships, bus, bullet trains

Sun’s shining when we’re in Japan

Saw happy faces, ate sushi

Tried my pink kimono and wow

Full moon at night, how romantic

Sat on the grass and had picnic

Sun’s shining when we’re in Japan

“Will you marry me?” “Yes, I will”

Saw lots of temples, shrines and parks

Ate street food, so delicious

The wagyu beef is like heaven

Sun’s shining when we’re in Japan****

For us, one of the most beautiful places on earth is in the island of Coron, Palawan, Philippines. Club Paradise Resort is on a secluded island about 60 minutes from the airport by land and sea. Once on the island, we were on a beautiful tropical paradise with a nice sandy beach and simple but clean facilities. The beachfront cottages have gorgeous views of the ocean. Snorkelling was fun and exciting! House reef was fantastic. Sea water was crystalline and very clear. Saw a school of fish, barracuda, angel fish, sting rays, jelly fish, small shark, and fish of different species and colours. We basically snorkelled most of the time that we were there. It was just amazing! We also enjoyed hiking up the Eagle’s Point and nature watching, like watching for the monitor lizard to pass by or the bats flying, not to forget the beautiful sunset outside our cottage.

A mist in the sky and I sigh
A breath taking sight so far
A walk by the shore I can’t deny

Mimic of the chime like a spy
Golden pebble by the sandbar
A mist in the sky and I sigh

To feel limber, stretching to try
Swaying of the pine leaves that’s afar
A walk by the shore I can’t deny

The wonderful kiss by my guy
Worldly wisdom signals the savoir
A mist in the sky and I sigh

Seeing the Taj Mahal I cry
Eiffel Tower and the Grand Bazaar
A walk by the shore I can’t deny

The Zugspitze, wish I could fly
Experience to share for my memoir
A mist in the sky and I sigh
A walk by the shore I can’t deny*****

Your photos told some wonderful stories, Lady Lee. I love the underwater photos, those are so unusual. I had an underwater disposable camera when I went snorkeling once, and I don’t know what happened to my pictures. So it was good to see yours. You’ve been to some very interesting places. 🙂
