Where do you eat breakfast?
I usually have my oatmeal at the dining table. Oatmeal could be with milk and honey or sometimes, with vegetables.

Given the choice of anyone in the world, whom would you want have a evening with?
With Him Indoors, of course! We usually cook our dinner, eat, then go upstairs in the attic to watch television. Most of the times, we fall asleep while the telly is still on. Oh well, life is so…

If you could be a tree or plant, what would you be?

A coconut tree, where I can sway with the wind, provide shade, food and drink, too.

What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

Happy Halloween!

What goal are you working on now?

I don’t know. Perhaps try to have more clients/students. At the moment, things are perking up, new clients from different companies. The goal is to organise them well so that I don’t have to travel that much.

What is one thing you’re glad you tried but would never do again?

Being on a cruise. I’m not good on ships, I get sea-sick.

Did you choose your profession or did it choose you?

I’ve got a degree in Chemistry and a Masters in Applied Linguistics and English Language Teaching. I’ve worked in different fields, as a medical representative, as a secretary, as a cashier, in Statistics, in Clinical Research, in IT. When I had HRH the son, I wanted something that is flexible, so I chose to be a freelance English teacher. I love it!

Have you ever gotten lost?

All the time! I’ve got no sense of direction.

Optional Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

We had a great time in Malta, celebrated our Anniversary and Him Indoors’ birthday. Really thankful.

This week coming up, looking forward to meeting two new clients/students. Also, having coffee and shopping with my friends.

Have a lovely week everyone!

What do you do when you’re not working? If you are retired, what do you that is not part of your regular daytime routine?

I usually do some laundry and ironing, cooking, etc. Otherwise, I cycle and swim with Him Indoors and we love travelling to different places. When I’m with my friends, we meet for coffee or lunch, shopping or walk while we talk.

What would you do if you won the lottery?

I’d travel far and wide, see places we haven’t been and revisit the places we love. Buy HRH the son and his beautiful K a house of their own in a place of their choice. The rest of the money, donate to our favourite charities.

What makes you laugh the most?

Him Indoors, of course! He’s got this witty/dry humour. Also, some TV shows make me laugh, like Big Bang Theory, Two and a half Men, Friends, etc.

What is your biggest pet peeve with modern technology?

I have no patience with our dozen TV/dvd/etc. remote controls. I don’t watch any TV if Him Indoors is not there (I don’t mind, really, got other things to do).

Optional Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

We went to the UK last week and we had a great time. We visited HRH the son and his beautiful K in Southampton, went to Portsmouth for the Dockyard and celebrated with Him Indoors’ parents their 60th Diamond Wedding Anniversary in Coventry.

Tomorrow we’re celebrating our 31st Wedding Anniversary. We’ll probably cycle to our favourite Chinese Restaurant. I’ll order duck and Him Indoors will have his beef chillies, with a bottle of Sekt or some chilled Chablis. Bliss!

On Thursday we’re flying to Malta until Tuesday. We’ll celebrate Him Indoors birthday there.

Have a lovely week everyone!

December! That’s my birthday month, also Christmas and there’s always something going on, like concerts, parties, opera, people getting ready for Christmas and there’s good feeling around us.

What is the easiest way for your to learn something new? By reading, by seeing and doing, in a classroom?
All of the above – I love reading and I want to be in a classroom for social contact. By seeing and doing, that’s also very important for me. I’ve got to experience it!

I’ve got a couple of new contracts for my teaching and I’m really pleased. Looking forward to meeting my new students. Also, Him Indoors and I have booked some of our holidays this year and so far, so good.

I don’t! Mind you, if I could avoid it, I don’t take a lift. I’d rather walk up or down the stairs.

If you had a choice which would be your preference salt water beaches, fresh water lakes, ocean cruise, hot tub, ski resort or desert?

Both salt water beaches and fresh water lakes, then hot tub. I don’t do ocean cruise (seasick) nor ski resort (can’t ski) nor desert (too hot).

I’m looking forward to starting with my job again from Wednesday and back to my normal routine.
