the lovers wander through the woods, they drift
they were walking in passion, a gift
city so charming, they fell in love with it
lots of interesting places, got to admit

nighttime, all the lights are on and everything’s bright
they have reached the edge of the woods, what a delight

cruising along the River Elbe is also fun
one way to reach some places and that’s what they’ve done
passing by the Frauenkirche and the Parliament
don’t forget the University almost directly in front

the lovers enjoy holiday in the city
they go home content after their shopping spree

Life is like a play – we go through the stages of our lives. We have roles, child or adult, sister or brother, mother or father, student or employed, married or single, rich or poor, optimist or pessimist. We are social beings, living and acting according to the norms of our society, culture, groups and races. Our social relationships help define our sense of self. I know how important first impression makes and I can be socially judged in the blink of an eye. It’s very important to trust our instincts. We should listen and communicate, until we know someone’s depth.

THIS WEEK’S WORDS come from “They Feed They Lion” by Philip Levine: burlap, butter, bread, gutted, gray, grained, feed, ferocity, forgiven, holiness, home, hidden

I feed my family with cakes

chocolate cake and buttered sponge

being at home with bread to bake

a burlap sack of oranges

on such a grey day

nice to be cosy at home

forget ferocity, just forgive

don’t be gutted

some hidden meaning

the holiness of togetherness

feed the hungry, that’s the challenge

some grained food with juicy steak

then go for a walk by the lake

new recipe to take a plunge

afternoon tea with friends

short bread and scones

cappuccino is also fine

tete-a- tete with you

new gossips

new plans

masarap kumain kapag

may mga kasama*

*nice to eat

with company

Together we stand for what we love

Equality, understanding and hope

With perseverance, one day they will come

Healthcare, housing and other basic rights

Everyone should have these benefits

Together we stand for what we love

We’re all equal, with any race and religion

Sharing love, acceptance and kindness

Equality, understanding and hope

And so we fight for all these to happen

Never give up, we are all for them

With perseverance, one day they will come

Healthcare, housing and other basic rights

We’re all equal, with any race and religion

And so we fight for all these to happen

Such wonder this day
I stop and drink the music
Leaves dance to the beat

Leaves dance to the beat
Forest is the orchestra
Hear the sounds of frogs

Hear the sounds of frogs
Birds above calling for grubs
Canopy of green

Canopy of green
Water that flows quietly
Mesmerizing world

Mesmerizing world
Tall mossy pines on both sides
Lifted their branches

Lifted their branches
Inspire my mind to explore
Forest for my soul

Forest for my soul
To recharge and give me hope
As the deer look by
The songs of the birds and bees
And they spread seedlings
