Sunday Photo Fiction – July 15, 2018 – Some photographs and memories

A simple pattern of success
Spread on my wall all of these
Climb to the edge even with stress
Some photographs and memories

The path with stones and gravel
On the way there some tight squeeze
Low and humble but cheerful
Some photographs and memories

Trim the grass, spray some water
Good for the plants and all the trees
Tie some knots, the world is closer
Some photographs and memories*

Sunday Photo Fiction – July 1, 2018 – A place which I call my home

spf-july-1-2018-1-of-11

This is a place which I call my home
Where I ever learn my lessons
Some ideas flitted through my mind
In the spirit of God and Rome

Sometimes this looks like a honeycomb
A cycle of confusions
The essence of all drama combined
Translated peace, the word shalom

The music is like a palindrome
Things I do seasons to seasons
A place where I could just rewind
In spiral pattern as I roam

This is a place which I call my home
Where I ever learn my lessons
Some ideas flitted through my mind
In the spirit of God and Rome*

Sunday Photo Fiction – Somewhere safe, no rattling blare

bar-in-mexico

A place to eat in the middle of nowhere
Some sort of a limbo for us all
Somewhere safe, no rattling blare

I gasp for all the wear and tear
A couple of images around the stall
A place to eat in the middle of nowhere

I rang a bell so they’ll be aware
A man folding some chairs, he’s tall
Somewhere safe, no rattling blare

A blade of grass bowing like prayer
A girl picking up shells, she’s small
A place to eat in the middle of nowhere

A small gravel pit in the square
Hope that little boy doesn’t fall
Somewhere safe, no rattling blare

I ordered some food as I sat on the chair
He came with a smile, the man who’s tall
A place to eat in the middle of nowhere
Somewhere safe, no rattling blare*

Sunday Photo Fiction – Together we face life

dscf1060

like a dove’s cooing
all the experience and love
we’re very grateful
in silence and stealth
we make our own history
together we face life

wild flowers abound
grass so green and sky so blue
beauty around us
frame of nature
the gentle waves of the sea
watching the sunset

coconut trees sway
paddy fields in the background
birds chirping sweetly
a new dawn, new life
feeling grateful for all things
happy with our lives

shuffling through with life
experience and challenges
good or bad, they’re ours
two hearts but one soul
until death do us part
our hearts beat as one

Sunday Photo Fiction – The rise and fall of Poochie

Our words this week are:
– fresh and stale
– rise and fall

The rise and fall of Poochie
Had him since he was a pup
Fresh from his mother’s knee
Sometimes stale from catsup

He liked to fetch the stick
When he did, wanted a treat
Sometimes he showed me his trick
Me and him we’re ever sweet

One day he was ran over
By a car who didn’t stop
Suddenly my world was blur
His memories from the top

The rise and fall of Poochie
Goodbye my dear friend, goodbye
We’ll meet again you’ll agree
I bow my head and sigh*

Sunday Photo Fiction – The lady in my dreams

dscf8715

The lady in my dreams, she looks so mysterious
With just one eye not covered, she looks anxious
Such great sorrow and despair I see from her eye
As if she spends most of her time with her cries
Her body exhausted after the expulsion of energy
I can tell she’s making a dramatic plea
The problems she’s carrying too heavy to bear
I would like to care for her, I promise and swear
Her wrists and hands all tied up with black cord
I wish for her not to be hated or abhorred
And then the knight with shining armour came
Who has done great deeds as the public acclaim
He greeted her as he swaggered along the corridor
He’s probably the miracle she was waiting for
To give her happiness and love in this world
They fell in love and together they twirled

Sunday Photo Fiction – May 13, 2018 – Mommy and baby elephant

ayr6
Photo Prompt: C.E. Ayr

THIS WEEK’S WORDS come from “Eddie Priest’s Barbershop & Notary” by Kevin Young: music, spin, chance, reflection, pockets, sting, flowers, wintergreen, guess, turn, running, next

Mommy and baby elephant
They’re next to each other
Running with Mommy in the front
Wintergreen and tree fir
With reflection in the water
Guess who stops being ambler?
With reflection
With reflection
Baby spins around after

Mommy and baby elephant
They could dance with music
Chance to turn around so brilliant
With flowers in the creek
Sting of the bees make them run
Doing things with pockets of fun
Sting of bees
Sting of bees
And their lives are full of action

Mommy and baby elephant
They’re always together
Baby follows Mum with a grunt
Both stay as they were
With adventures and challenges
Sometimes getting food from branches
With adventures
With adventures
Day to day living with no fuzz*
