Hello everyone! Just got back from our Austrian holiday and we had a smashing time. We drove to Mittersill, which is around 3 hours away from Munich, passing by St. Johann, Kitzbuhel and other lovely towns and villages.
We reached the castle where we stayed for 4 nights. Here’s the view from our balcony.
Here’s my back while I enjoyed the view. What a life!
Some of the food we’ve had. Delicious!
We walked during the day. On the first day we walked to Mittersill town.
“These boots were made for walking.”
On the second day, we drove to Salzburger Land and walked up the mountains. That was hard work! But worth it!
The horses were so cute!
We reached Hinter See and stayed there to have our picnic.
“The hills are alive with the sound of music!”
So, what made you smile this week?

We visited the Salzburg area while my son studied abroad a couple years ago, and I fell in love with Austria. Your photos make me long to return.

Oh such pleasant memories of Austria. The hills are so beautiful – yeah, the Sound of Music displayed them well!. Hope sometime you will get the opportunity to see Vienna – stunning (but a little expensive).. Tell the one who took the shot of your head – very interesting angle:)
Thanks so much for sharing beautiful Austria with All Seasons! Have a lovely week:)

Ah, Sound of Music country. I love how doable it is to drive from one country to another in that part of Europe. Staying in a castle sounds magical and a picnic and mountains. Stunning.

What a delightful vacation that must have been! I love those ‘onion tower’ [Zwiebelturm] churches typical for Bavaria and Austria. And, oh my, those food plates look scrumptious.

It was so wonderful to go along with you to Austria through your awesome photographs! Such a beautiful place, wonderful food, and lots of healthy exercise! I remember how picturesque everything was when we lived in Germany, looked like the stuff of fairytale books! I am so glad you got to go and had such a great time! Time spent making new memories together is always something to be thankful for! Thank you for joining us at TToT! 🙂
