The truth sucked the life right out of his chest
Feeling dizzy with all the waves of emotion
Wish he could still be in his youth
Youth with his flare bottom trousers
Stayed on his bed all day then went out
Gained some confidence to chat up a hot lady
And always with his sneakers
Sneakers, rock and roll and fun
Those were the days but he had to grow up
Things were not easy with obstacles and trials
And his life was full of action
Action with all the buzz and fuzz
Experience and challenges to be had
Together with all the responsibilities
